You Capture Challenge - Week One

Well, I have tried and I have already lost the challenge as I am pretty sure that my flash went off for this picture. Well, then again, maybe it didn't because I actually took it on a "SCN" setting as opposed to "Auto". Can a flash still go off? I mean, there is a shadow and all but that could be because I had every single light on in the kitchen as well as my son holding a flashlight over my shoulder. Wondering what the hell I am rambling on about? Head on over to I Should Be Folding Laundry for all of the details and examples of what a real photo should look like.

This week's challenge was to take a photo of something you love. The first thing that popped into my mind was my children, but I thought that for once, I should broaden my horizons a little. So, here it is. If it weren't for at least a pot of this necessity in life per day, there would be no me.

I love your determination! And the thought of your son holding a flashlight over your shoulder is completely cracking me up! Honestly, I don't think your flash went off in this shot. If it had, you'd probably get a reflection of it in your coffee.

Can I get some cream and sugar with that? Thanks ;)

Can I have a cup too please?! I need my morning coffee, thankyouverymuch.

I did take the road most traveled and took a picture of my baby, lol.

Kudos to you for getting your son to hold the flash- there is now way in heck my kids would have cooperated.

kudos for taking the road less traveled. ;)

I love coffee, the smell, especially flavored coffee...*sniff* I can almost smell it right from your picture!

I never considered the much needed cup of coffee in the morning as "something I love", but it's true. I think your picture turned out great.

That is a great picture!

Thanks for visiting and commenting on my blog :) My trick to getting good self portraits is to take about 50 of them! I tried this shot so many times, I just play with my camera all the time and am lucky enough to have FABULOUS lighting in my living room.

I can't wait to see more of your pictures :)
